Michael Fury

Michael is the chair of the Direct Wealth investment committee providing his expertise and oversight of portfolio management.

Michael started Delta Research & Advisory in 2012 to provide institutional quality quantitative research analysis and investment committee services to the Australian Wealth Management industry. His clients have ranged from boutique financial advisory businesses to large global investment management companies.

Prior to starting Delta, Michael was head of research at Suncorp from 2008 to 2012. Michael is a current director of Delta Research & Advisory, Delta Factors Pty Ltd (Fund Analytics company created by Michael), and The Investment Committee Pty Ltd (an investment conference producer).

Michael has received a Master of Applied Finance, Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, and Bachelor of Mathematics (w Statistics). He is a Senior Fellow of FINSIA, Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), and achieved his Certified Financial Planner designation in 2004. He currently consults to or is a member of around twelve investment committees around Australia.
