Jody Fitzgerald

Jody is a member of the Direct Wealth investment committee providing analysis and insights for our investment portfolios.

Jody joined Morningstar Investment Management Australia Limited in November 2018 as Head of Institutional Portfolio Management and Solutions, where she is responsible for the design and management of institutional portfolios. She is also a member of the APAC Investment Policy Committee, APAC Portfolio Construction Sub-Committee and the APAC Investment Selection Sub-Committee. Jody is also responsible for developing client-focused investment solutions and tools, such as the Morningstar Retirement Strategy Tool, and is a key spokesperson at conferences, webinars, client events and on podcasts.

A senior investment executive with 25 years of experience in investment management and business leadership roles. She has a unique combination of skills and experience gained through working across all parts of the financial services value chain, including retail, institutional, platforms, private wealth and asset management. A multi-asset class specialist with specific expertise in managing multi-asset portfolios, fundamental investment and macro research and investment process design and development.

Prior to joining Morningstar, Jody worked at Australian Unity Investment as Head of Investment Strategy for 6 years where she was accountable for the investment process integrity across AU’s boutique asset management firm and developing fit-for-purpose multi-asset class investment solutions for institutional clients. She also held other senior management roles at UBS Wealth Management (Head of Investment Research), Deutsche Asset Management (Investment Strategist) and Skandia (Head of Retail Investment Services).

Jody has a Bachelor of Economics and Finance with First Class Honours and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment
